Are you living in Seoul? Have you been thinking about getting your hair done, but not sure how to find a good place where the staff is experienced with styling foreigners’ hair and can even speak English? Don’t fret! We’re here to help! Here are 5 simple steps to getting your hair done in Korea!!
If you found our website, chances are you aren’t originally from Korea. The good thing about Seoul is that it’s a big international city where you can pretty much find whatever you’re looking for. Okay! Now that you’ve selected where you want to go to get your hair done, it’s time to make an appointment. Most of the places we listed above are usually in high demand, so it’s best to call ahead to see when they have availability.
For us, when we called Hair & Joy for an appointment, they were actually free that same afternoon so we were able to get in right away! But chances are if you want to get an appointment on a Saturday or Sunday, you’ll have to book it in advance.
Hair salons in Seoul aren’t always located in the most convenient areas. Be sure that you know where you are going when you set off for your appointment!
For example, Hair & Joy is located near Hongkik Station Exit 8, but you need to turn down a smaller alley and go up to the 3rd floor of a building to find it. When traveling in Seoul, it’s very helpful if you have wifi with you, but if you don’t, be sure you have very specific directions!
